The past week was great to see all our our friends and family but it was a long week. First, Leo got sick like Kate mentioned in her most recent post but fortunately, he is back to normal and we didn't have to go to the hospital! Great job Leo, let's see if we can do an entire year without an emergency hospital visit! My nephews come to visit me a couple times a year during their breaks from school. They had planned on staying just a couple of days but it turned into a week after their house had 2 ft of water in their basement. Fortunately the water receded really fast for them but nonetheless, not something we wanted to happen.
Sammie and I finally got to see my grandmother after her stroke on Saturday after we drove our nephews home to St Louis. While she has a lot of therapy in front of her, she seemed to be in good spirits as she and Sammie played. Here is a pic of Sammie trying to put her boots on Grandma Dell.
I think Sammie is going through a little withdrawal today since it is the first day since Christmas that someone hasn't stayed at our house to play with her. Even cousin Max - aka Spiderman stayed with us for a couple days.
Over the Holiday week, we had three nights of no nurses which was a little rough, especially with the extra kids in the house. But like always, we have ton of help and somehow always seem to manage. I think we finally got caught up on sleep over the last few nights.
