The really hard part is Leo is not himself. He is either sleeping or staring off into space. We are praying this is temporary reaction to the seizure and med combo. He is starting to react a little to being touched but still has a long way to go.We just want the little opinionated guy back.
We are hoping to go home tomorrow. Basically just waiting to get off oxygen and get released by pulmonology.
A super weird coincidence...we have been fortunate to become friends with another family in Bloomington who has a little guy with many of the same medical challenges as Leo. He even has a cute half smile and scrunchy mad face :). Poor little Kane started having seizures the day after Leo and they ended up being neighbors in the hospital. We share 2 of the same nurses. It's really nice to have someone to talk to who really understands during times like this. Luckily he went home today so Leo is sure to follow soon!
I finally arrived back Peoria about 8:00 tonight with Sammie and my parents. It was great to experience my brother's life in Vegas but really hard to be away from Leo during this. I'm so thankful Terry did an amazing job ensuring Leo got the best care possible.
