12/9/14 - bits of good need

Last week Leo started showing signs if another respiratory infection...we thought here we go again. Well I think he beat it! We put him back on the vent and nebbed the heck out of the cold over the weekend. This week he had his 3 month check-up with his Pulmonologist and they said he seemed good enough to start his passy Muir valve again. He has not done it since October so that is exciting! I love hearing his little voice.

Since he is over a year now they want his nutrition to include something besides breast milk. We started mixing in a jar of baby good per day. In the next few months he will work all the way up to a full blended diet. It will be a lot of work to blend real food but good for him. The real food has made for some interesting diapers.

As part of the issues last we he had labs run on his Trach secretions... Good news came back that he no longer has strep growing in there. We thought he was colonized with but guess not!

His eye is slowly healing and his tongue is real good!

Happy birthday to grandma Helen on 12/12! We love her!!

In Sammie news...twinkle the elf says it all. This little one is ready for Chistmas!
