7/5 - happy birthday America

Sammie loves birthdays so we have been making this weekend a big party for America. Terry's three nephews from STL arrived Wedneday and are staying for the weekend. We have not seen them since last fall and really miss them! They are great with Sammie and everyone is having a goodtime. The Ory's and the Stover's came other for a cookout on the 4th and Leo did well. He hung out in his chair with everyone and barely alarmed all day :). We were scheduled to have a day nurse so we could both get out if the house with the boys but she called in. It's okay I got lots of Leo snuggle time in on the 4th. 

After the eye appointment last week things were pretty uneventful. We had an orthopedic appointment to get Leo's scoliosis checked out. Dr Emm and his Pulmenologist both suggested if it is too severe it could cause his lungs to not fully inflate. The Ortho checked him out and said there were no immediate concerns and we just need to go back in the spring. He does have scoliosis and rib abnormalities but nothing that needs corrected in the near future. We also had a great trip. I came up with the idea of trying an older style stroller a friend gave us that had a seat that lays back. It was perfect. Leo sprawled out and turned his head the way he liked it. He was a happy camper!
