12/27 - just another day in the NICU

Today during rounds the docs were excited because Leo only had a few MLs of out put yesterday. As a result they decided to put him on bolus (all at once) feeds instead of continuous feeds from a pump. Well a few hours after his 1st feed he became extremely agitated. Our nurse called the doc and she said put him back on continuous. He can go home on continuous feeds so this isn't a huge setback but he tolerated bolus feeds well before so his reaction surprised me. I'm not convinced it just wasn't a fluke. He hadn't had Tylenol for quite awhile so maybe that was the issue. To make matters worse, Leo pushed out about 12ML of fluid during his episode. This is super disappointing :(. I'm starting to worry we wasted this week and he will end up on a week without food :(. Prayers for no more fluid!

Sammie is coming up again tomorrow :). We are going to see baby brother and the Festival of Lights.
