Only a few things to provide updates about today since the Dr's decided yesterday to keep things status quo for a few days. The day nurse let Kate hold Leo today and it just happened to be at the same time that the Dr's did their rounds. Our neonatologist was happy at how Leo responded to being held so the Dr. changed Leo's status from red to yellow meaning that we can hold him at the nurses discretion. This is why I am just now posting this because I got to hold him tonight too!
Unlike yesterday, Leo has had a calm day. His breathing has been good all day and he has had minimal chest fluid. The surgeons still want to remove the chest tube but the neonatologist still does not. We'll see what tomorrow brings....
