2/16 - Leo is Baptized

Today was bittersweet. I'm very grateful Leo was baptized into the Catholic Church and he is blessed with two loving God Parents. At the same time it hurts so much to think about why we baptized him today. Leo's life is so fragile that he could leave us without warning.

Flint and Theresa Ory have been on Leo's unfortunate medical journey with us since day one. We have probably shared more with them than anyone else and they have supported us every step of the way. When my regular OBGYN told us we would need to see a specialist because a few things were not quite measuring right, we spent that weekend at Kentucky Lake with the Ory's. They helped us push our fears aside and give our baby the womb name Tucky Ninja (TNT style).  They have spent countless hours with us on the phone or in the basement just talking things out. Sammie adores them and "TT" always knows how to put a smile on her face. We are so blessed to have them in our lives.

Originally the Priest from our Church was going to baptize Leo, but he woke up not feeling well and had to cancel. Luckily, one of the Priests at St Francis filled in and baptized Leo. He wore a super cute cream button up sweater outfit that Theresa gave him. She saved the day because I was just going to let him go naked. The ceremony was really special and we were lucky Uncle Dave and my Mom were able to attend. I don't have any pictures to share because the memory card on my camera filled up as we were filming the ceremony (of course after we have been using it for 1.5 years it fills up today!).  However, Theresa took lots of pictures and we will share her's soon. His nurses last night made him this special sign :).

We are really grateful for the Stover's coming to visit this weekend. They offered lots of love and support. They made the trip up to see Leo and spoiled Sammie rotten. It was so fun to see their two little men!

Tomorrow is a big day and Ter and I are both staying at the hospital tonight to ensure more bad weather does not prevent us from getting here for the 8:00am procedure. We hope we are able to make the right decision for our little man.
