Early morning x-rays revealed that Leo's lungs made significant improvement again last night. He is receiving breathing support from tubes in his nose, but the oxygen is on the lowest setting. Over the weekend they are planning to keep his treatment as is and hope his breathing continues to improve while the Chylothrax heals. The dye test (esophogram) is now rescheduled for Monday.
After 11 longs days, Grandma Helen finally got a day off Uncle Dave watched Sammie all day and then brought her up to Peoria to see us. We got a hotel for the night because NICU parents get really cheap rates. Terry took Sammie swimming and she loved. it.With a life vest, she kept "swimming" the length of the pool. Aunt Brandy is up for the weekend too and will stay with Sammie while we are at the hospital. I need to post some pictures from today later.
